I know we do pizza here a lot on Bobby Boyd Living (because who doesn’t love pizza?) BUT this is different. Yes, it is still pizza… but the crust is made of chicken. What?! Yes. Chicken. A chicken crust pizza. And the best is that it is low carb/keto-friendly.

This seems crazy, I know. But the results had me saying Sh*t, Cluck D*mn! (a little joke for the hardcore fans out there). Shout out to Low Carb Love on TikTok for bringing this amazing hack to my attention. This recipe definitely passes the vibe check.

What Do I Need To Make The Keto Chicken Crust Pizza?

Here’s a list of all the ingredients you’d need for this recipe:

For the Chicken Pizza Dough:

– Chopped chicken
– Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
– Egg
– Basil
– Garlic powder
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– Olive oil

The Pizza Toppings:

– Red pizza sauce
– Grated Mozzarella cheese
– Golden boy pizza seasoning by William Sonoma
– Pepperoni
– Black olives
– Jalapeno pepper slices

Because this recipe is flexible, you can make it yours by using your favorite pizza toppings and spices. If you are going to substitute or add any ingredient to the crust, make sure it’s not the Parmesan cheese. Parmesan cheese is a dry cheese, so it keeps the crust firm and dry.

How To Store

Wrap the leftover pizzas in a plastic wrap or freezer bag and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days.

When you are ready to cook, take it out of the fridge and let it cool to room temperature. To reheat, wrap with aluminum foil and heat in the microwave for 5-10 minutes.

  • Measuring cups and spoon
  • Oven
  • Round pizza pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Pizza Dough:

  • 20 ounces of chopped chicken
  • ½ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon of Basil
  • 1 tablespoon of Garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • A drizzle of olive oil

The Pizza Toppings:

  • Red pizza sauce, as desired
  • Grated Mozzarella cheese, as desired
  • Golden boy pizza seasoning by William Sonoma
  • Pepperoni, as desired
  • Black olives, as desired
  • Jalapeno pepper slices,. as desired

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F.

To make the Chicken Pizza Dough:

  • Transfer the shredded chicken into a much bigger bowl, crack the egg into the bowl, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, then add the basil, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Combine the ingredients thoroughly by mixing with a spoon.
  • Line the pizza pan with parchment paper. Transfer the chicken-based dough onto the parchment paper and shape it into a circle. Use a spoon to flatten and even the top of the pizza dough.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil on top of the dough and place it into the oven to bake for 30 minutes.

To Top the Pizza:

  • Once the chicken-based pizza dough is fully baked, use a spoon to spread some pizza sauce on it and sprinkle as much Mozzarella cheese as you want atop the sauce.
  • Sprinkle a tiny bit of Golden boy pizza seasoning. Arrange pepperoni, black olives, and sliced jalapeno peppers at the center of the pizza. Place the pizza back in the oven to bake for 15 minutes.
  • Once your delicious keto chicken crust pizza is ready, garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. If the pizza doesn’t come out as crispy as you want it to, switch your oven to “broil.”
